– Behind the scenes and expertise in table tennis blade –

When the blade becomes an instrument

More than just a blade, a precision instrument

In high-level table tennis, the blade is not a mere support.
It is the first point of contact with the ball, the extension of the hand, the medium for every intention.

Yet, most blades available on the market are designed to suit the greatest number. They offer correct performance, but rarely a true personality.

At Mamba Blades, we have chosen a different path.

Sports Lutherie

We do not manufacture table tennis blades the way sports accessories are produced. We design them like instruments.

Each piece is conceived, selected, and crafted with the same rigor found in classical lutherie: listening to the material, precision of gesture, pursuit of exact balance.

This approach, which we call Sports Lutherie, places the player’s sensations at the center of everything.

What the player feels

A Mamba blade stands out through several concrete qualities:

  • A purer touch
The feedback is clear, immediate, without excessive filtration.
  • Increased precision
The ball trajectory is more readable, placement more secure.
  • A mastered balance
Lightness, stability, and dynamism coexist without canceling each other out.
  • A distinct personality
Each model possesses a unique character, designed for a specific style of play.

These are not marketing promises. They are the direct consequences of demanding artisanal construction.

Materials chosen with exacting standards

We select wood species for their mechanical and sensory qualities, not solely for their appearance.

When we use reinforcements, they are natural biocomposite fibers (flax, hemp, basalt, or BLC) that enrich the wood without altering its natural character.

The goal is never to impose artificial rigidity. It is about supporting the character of the wood to offer the player a more accurate response.

Single-unit and French manufacturing

Each Mamba blade is crafted individually in our workshop in Gerzat. There is no mass production.

From the selection of plies to the final finish, every step is controlled. No piece leaves the workshop without being verified.

This standard has a cost: that of time and precision. But this is precisely what gives each piece its coherence.

Who is a Mamba blade made for?

For players who are no longer satisfied with standard equipment.
For those seeking precise feedback, genuine stability, and a more intimate relationship with their blade.

Whether it is a collector’s model or a custom-made blade, the intention remains the same: to create an instrument capable of extending the game, not constraining it.

What we stand for

Choosing a Mamba Blades bat is not just acquiring high-performance equipment.

It is choosing a different approach: more demanding, more sensitive, more singular.

A blade that does more than just perform. A blade that becomes a true instrument of precision.
